ABOUT PURNA FARM
Where Nature, Community, and Purpose Grow Together
Welcome to our organic farm, tucked away in the stunning Sahyadri mountains—where the air is fresh, the WiFi is decent, and the veggies are 100% chemical free.
In February 2022, we found the one—a beautiful piece of land that had been lying low for years, totally untouched by chemicals. A dreamy, clean slate for us to build something honest and earth-friendly from the ground up.
Are we full-time farmers yet? Not quite! We’re still easing into it. Smita is at the farm on weekdays, and the rest of the crew (read: family + dogs) go on weekends and holidays. It’s a slow, joyful transition—one seed, one stay, and one sunset at a time.
Our Story
From WiFi to Wildflowers: Our Slow Shift to Farm Life
Our journey here began during the lockdown, like many big life changes do—unexpectedly. With the world slowing down and remote work becoming the norm, we found ourselves dreaming of something more grounded, more real. The idea of working from anywhere gave us the freedom to ask: What if we could work with our hands, grow our own food, and live closer to nature?
But honestly, this dream didn’t start on the farm. It started much earlier—with a tiny herb garden on my windowsill. That small patch of green slowly grew into an obsession, then a passion, and eventually... into Purna Farm.
Today, we grow food the way it’s meant to be—seasonal, local and original.

Our Vision
Our vision extends beyond cultivating crops; it encompasses creating a platform that inspires and educates. We envision Purna Farm as a hub for knowledge exchange, where people can learn about sustainable farming practices, reconnect with nature, and experience the joys of farm life. From workshops on farming to farm-to-table experiences, we aspire to create a space that fosters learning, growth, and well-being.
Why We Do What We Do
When your child can pluck a berry straight off the tree and pop it in their mouth without thinking twice—that’s when you know you’re doing something right. At the farm, every creature has its place, and we like to keep it that way. There are no VIPs here—plants, animals, people—we all share the space, and each one gets the care and respect it deserves. That balance is what makes this life feel real and right.
WHAT WE GROW
Seasonal, Local, and Wild at Heart
At Purna Farm, we grow most of what we eat—veggies, grains, pulses, fruits, herbs, oilseeds—if it’s on our plate, we try to grow it. We follow local and seasonal, let nature guide us, and add something new each year.
Our land also surprises us with wild greens, and we’ve happily made them part of our meals. The farm shapes our plate, and our plate inspires what we grow.

Our Philosophy
Because Right Feels Better Than Fast
At Purna, we’re all about keeping things natural and working with the land, not against it. Our farm has always been chemical-free, which fits perfectly with how we do things. We believe in creating a space where plants, animals, and people all thrive together. By sticking to organic and sustainable methods, we’re not just growing healthy food—we’re helping the land heal, stay resilient, and support life for generations to come. It’s a slow, mindful way of farming, but it’s the way we believe food should be grown.
